Fabio Borini hopes he has a future with Liverpool.
The 23-year-old has spent the season on loan at Sunderland, helping them maintain their Premier League status.
But he was back in the Liverpool red and notched the second in a routine victory at Shamrock Rovers.
Borini said: "It's nice to end the season in a positive way and be happy in the holidays.
"It was a nice feeling in front of the supporters - it's always a great moment for a player to play in front of them.
"It gave me confidence and hope for the future."
