Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce heaped praise on striker Fabio Borini for his well-struck equaliser in the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Tuesday night.
The Italian scored from a difficult angle in the last minute of normal time to clinch a solitary point for the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light.
The draw pulled the club out of the relegation zone and Allardyce was thrilled for Borini who hammered home to level after his side fell behind to a Connor Wickham double following Dame N'Doye's earlier deflected opener.
"It was world class, absolutely out of the top drawer of goals you can score," Allardyce said.
"It was in the back of the net before the goalkeeper could begin to move.
"Pace, power, accuracy."
"Borini's goal should have been the winner."
"Our frailties have come to light again and it's saved us from defeat, not won us the game."
