Bordeaux's Chamakh gives hope to West Ham, Sunderland

Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh has told interested clubs he's ready to discuss a pre-contract.

A target for West Ham United, Sunderland and Arsenal, Chamakh comes off contract in June and will not consider signing a new deal with Bordeaux.

"I will not leave Bordeaux in January. But if I can sign this winter with my future club for next summer, I will. For now, there is nothing concrete," said Chamakh.

Sunderland were blocked from signing Chamakh in the summer, but Bordeaux management will have no say should they return to sign the striker on a Bosman from January 1.
