Bordeaux have made an offer for Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy.

Mendy has been the subject of interest from St Etienne in recent weeks, though has publicly declared a preference to join Bordeaux this summer.

And the Girondins have obliged, making a firm approach to the Foxes about taking Mendy on-loan.

Bordeaux are seeking a 12-month loan for the midfielder with the option to buy for €10 million.

Mendy only moved to the Foxes a year ago from Nice.
