Bordeaux chairman Triaud warns Chamakh over Wigan move

Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud has warned striker Marouane Chamakh that a move to Wigan may be a bad idea.

The Moroccan international has stated that he would love to play in the Premier League and there is plenty of interest around for him but Triaud is worried about how he will move on to a bigger club down the track.

"I am not sure that moving to Portsmouth, Everton, Charlton or Bolton would be good for his career plan," Triaud said on RMC.

"His plan may be moving to Wigan and impress bigger Premier League clubs, but if he signs a four-year deal with Wigan, then leaving could prove tough."
