Real Salt Lake defender Nat Borchers is of the belief that the club is sitting in the middle of a championship window.
The Utah club were agonisingly beaten in a penalty shootout by Sporting Kanas City in the weekend’s MLS Cup final but the 32-year old suggests the RSL squad is heading in the right direction for another shot at a title.
“I've never been part of a group that's been more together than this group here,” Borchers told reporters after the loss.
“We really have a lot to build on, a lot of positive things I think given the performance we put in.
“We've got a lot of good, young players that have stepped up in the playoffs. They stepped up at the end of the game, which is fantastic to see. I bring a lot of positives out of this.”
