Defeat at home to Burnley has Chelsea boss Antonio Conte the bookies' new favourite for the sack.

The loss, after a troubled summer, was a worrying echo of the manner in which Jose Mourinho's champions collapsed two seasons ago, costing the 'Special One' his job.

On Saturday night bookmakers installed Conte as the favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave his club this season.

Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas both saw red for Chelsea as they fell 3-2 at home to the Clarets.

On Cahill's dismissal, Conte admitted: "It was a key moment, because after this red card we lost our composure and we conceded three goals."
