Juventus legend Zibi Boniek has jumped to the defence of AS Roma coach Zdenek Zeman.

Zeman is under fire after two consecutive 3-2 defeats against Udinese and Parma, having taken the lead in both games.

"We ought to give time to the Coach and allow him to grow the team," Boniek told Radio Manà Manà.

"He is not the problem or the cause for this negative moment. There are fans who are getting angry with Zeman when three months ago they welcomed him as the saviour.

"There is a distinct lack of balance at Roma."
