Bolton Wanderers defender Gretar Steinsson has shrugged off Abou Diaby's ugly challenge which resulted in a red card for the Arsenal man on Saturday.

"The red card was the referee's decision," Steinsson said. "It was not down to me. He caught me on the ankle, but I was in the process of jumping."

"A few years ago that would have been a yellow card," Trotters boss Gary Megson said. "But Diaby went diving in and it had to be red with the way the rules are now."
