Bolton Wanderers fullback Jlloyd Samuel has called for referee Rob Styles to face disciplinary action after he wrongly awarded Manchester United a penalty for his tackle on Cristiano Ronaldo at the weekend.
Samuel said: "There have to be penalties for referees when they make mistakes. The players and the club have been punished for his mistake, so why should he not be?
"If players make bad decisions or play poorly we get dropped. I don't think it should be any different for referees."
But Samuel believes football should resist bringing cameras into the game.
"We should leave it to human judgment,' he said. 'It will disrupt the game if you have to keep stopping every minute. Human error adds to the excitement."
