The midfielder told the Guardian: "The perception is that me and Sammy have fallen out but that is so far from the truth. When Sammy lost his job I was one of the first people to call him and I thanked him. He'd been here for over three years and he had made me a better player. I wasn't happy to be out of the team but instead of taking it out on the lads in training I took my problems home with me and my missus made my life a living hell.
