Bolton Wanderers skipper Kevin Nolan credits former manager Sam Allardyce for kickstarting his pro career.
He told the Mirror: "As soon as Sam Allardyce came into the club when I was younger. He put me in the reserves and that's when I thought I stood a chance."
Asked about the last promising young player he saw, Nolan replied: "I watched Arsenal and I think that Jack Wilshere looks really good."
