El Hadji Diouf says he's staying with Bolton Wanderers this season.

The Senegal striker declared: "I'll definitely stay here for the rest of the season. I know it's hard for the team that I'm going to the African Nations Cup.

"But I want to do as well as I can before I go to make sure Bolton are safe from relegation.

"I want the team to be doing well so when I come back it will be hard for me to get my place back."
