Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies admits he feels helpless as he is forced to watch the club's struggling start to the season from the sidelines.

"There is nothing worse than being injured when the team is struggling and you are unable to do anything to help," he told the club's official website. "There has been a lot of changes, both on and off the field, but I am sure one win is all that is needed to lift the confidence.

"We have successive home games (against Reading and Everton) and, if we can take maximum points from them, we should shoot up the table."
