Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill admits he's honoured to have been handed the captain's armband for tonight's UEFA Cup tie at Sporting Lisbon.
"It's the first I've heard of it," he said. "It's my first time as captain of any club. It's a great honour for me and something I'm really looking forward to. I'm very privileged."
Cahill added: "The lads who come in will do as good a job as those who have gone out.
"Hopefully it will stand us in good stead that fresh legs are coming in."
