Bolton Wanderers striker Nicolas Anelka insists they can go into their UEFA Cup group with confidence.

With Bayern Munich headlining the group, Wanderers have also been handed a daunting date away to Red Star Belgrade but entertain Greek club Aris Thessaloniki and Portugal's SC Braga in Group F.

The top three teams progress and French striker Anelka, 28, is confident his Trotters can qualify for the last 32.

Anelka said: "I'd love to go to Munich and upset the world of football by winning. It would put Bolton on the map as a European force."
