Bolton boss Dougie Freedman admits he would love to bring Jay Spearing back to the club.
The 24-year old midfielder spent last season on loan from Liverpool, taking out the Bolton Wanderers Supporters' Association Player of the Year award, and Freedman wants him back at the Reebok Stadium on a permanent basis although he does have fears about the potential transfer.
"Jay Spearing is the kind of player I love," he said at a fans forum event on Monday.
"At the moment the asking price is too high, but we're still trying to do a deal."
