Bolton have lodged paperwork with FIFA in a bid to have January signing Gregg Wylde available for the final matches of the season.
The 21-year old winger voluntarily terminated his contract when at Rangers to help the struggling Scottish club and was subsequently picked up by the Trotters who want him to play in the season run-in as they try to stave off relegation.
"We've clearly shown he was made redundant, that it was not a mutual decision, that Gregg is owed money, that he never left with any money.
"Hopefully now, with the necessary paperwork having been lodged, Fifa can give us clearance to have Gregg involved in the last few games.
"All we can do now is await their decision. As soon as I know, you will, because it will allow Gregg to be involved in the squad." "We've now sent the necessary paperwork, in conjunction with the administrators at Rangers, to show Gregg was not paid for three or four weeks before he left," said Bolton boss Owen Coyle.
