Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson is ready to pounce for Middlesbrough midfielder Gary O'Neil.
The Daily Mail says the Trotters will offer O'Neil a route back into the Premier League if Middlesbrough lose their relegation fight.
Megson, short on midfielders following Kevin Nolan's January exit, watched O'Neil against Newcastle on Monday.
