Bolton Wanderers are waiting for Benfica to drop their asking price for Rodrigo Moreno.
The Bolton News says Wanderers are also mulling over an official bid for Rodrigo, who impressed in his limited opportunities on loan from Benfica last season.
The Portuguese club value the 20-year-old at £5million despite him never playing a game at the Stadium of Light.
Rodrigo is keen to return to the Premiership, but Wanderers are unlikely to meet the price tag while other targets are available.
