Bolton target West Brom's Robinson in Meite swap

Bolton Wanderers are seeking to revive a swap deal with West Brom.

The Sun says Bolton want West Brom full-back Paul Robinson in exchange for centre-half Abdoulaye Meite.

The Baggies had a £1.5million bid for the Ivory Coast defender, 27, knocked back.

But Reebok boss Gary Megson will let his old club have their man - if they give up Robinson, 29.

Megs said: "They made a bid and we didn't accept it but our chairman Phil Gartside asked whether we could do a straight swap.

"The offer is with them now so that is where we are with it."
