Danny Simpson will be offered a new contract by Manchester United - in an attempt to see off interest from Bolton Wanderers and Spanish side Real Zaragoza.

Right-back Simpson has returned to Old Trafford after a loan spell at Sunderland but he is in the last year of his contract.

Bolton would love to offer him a permanent move, but United boss Sir Alex Ferguson still sees Simpson as part of his long-term plans and the 20-year-old is weighing up his options, says the People.
