Bolton Wanderers have made a £5 million offer for Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard.
The Sun says Wanderers manager Gary Megson has been keeping tabs on the midfielder, 29, since the summer and has now firmed up his interest.
Megson missed out on Newcastle's Joey Barton and West Brom's James Morrison so turned his attention back to Bullard.
The England new boy has 18 months left on his contract but wants double his £25,000-a-week wages to stay at Craven Cottage.
Bullard is dismayed by Fulham's refusal to match his demands with an offer.
He will be hoping for something similar at the Reebok - should Fulham accept a bid - which could scupper the move.
