Bolton Wanderers are continuing to strengthen their relationship with Ireland's Ballymena United.

The Trotters' under-14 team has accepted an invitation from Ballymena United Youth Academy to take part in a three-team tournament here next week. The Bolton visit continues the strong link between the Lancashire club and the Sky Blues and further developments are at an advanced stage.

"It's a great opportunity for young footballers and their parents to come along and see the level of ability and attitude that is required to make it into an English Premiership club's Youth Academy," a club spokesman told the Ballymena Times.
