Gregg Wylde believes his time with Bolton made him grow up very quickly.
The 22-year old winger left Rangers to join the Trotters in 2012 but his time in England did not really work out the way he would have liked.
Now Wylde is back in Scotland after signing a deal with Aberdeen and is looking to reignite his career after plenty of life lessons learnt down south.
"When I went to England it was just me and my girlfriend and I had to learn things I hadn't done before, like cooking," he told the Daily Record.
"Learning stuff like that made me a man. It wasn't the best of times but I had to grow up quick."
He added: "Sometimes you have to go back to go forward. Charlie Mulgrew did it by coming to Aberdeen from Southend and Niall McGinn has done it too by coming here after being at Celtic and down at Brentford.
"Hopefully I get my career going again at Aberdeen too. I've worked on my game in England but I'm still young and have lots to learn."
