Bolton Wanderers skipper Kevin Nolan insists they can be confident about this season, despite a slow start.
Nolan said: "We are 15th in the table, which is not great but it is better than last year. Hopefully it is onwards and upwards.
"In the next couple of years we hope to be back in the top eight and going for a UEFA Cup spot. This season our sights are on getting in the top 10.
"We played some good stuff against Blackburn - we're trying to change it slowly from the Sam Allardyce and Sammy Lee era.
"But the wheels are in still in motion trying to do that. The fans are starting to come round to the fact that it's changing."
Nolan has yet to score in the top flight this campaign after getting five goals last season.
He believes he can turn things around - and that Bolton can go on and do the same.
Nolan said: "I want to score every week but my time will come. I'm not going to start worrying about me not scoring goals. I know that once the first one goes in the rest will follow, that's the type of player I am.
"It's not a massive blow that we haven't won but the problem is that we aren't scoring enough goals at home. I'm sure we'll change that in the games to come."
