Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Nolan admits he "wasn't happy" after being subbed early into the second-half of yesterday's defeat at Portsmouth.
When asked why Nolan had been substituted, Trotters manager Sammy Lee claimed: "It was tactical. When is the right time to make a change? Don't read into it that nothing was understood at half-time. The boys knew exactly what they had to do."
But asked how he felt about his more advanced role, Nolan said: "I don't know where I'm playing at the moment, mate. And I don't know why I was taken off."
When it was suggested that he had not looked happy at being replaced by Daniel Braaten, Nolan said: "I wasn't happy."
