Bolton skipper Nolan: I can't believe Sam took Blackburn job!

Bolton Wanderers skipper Kevin Nolan is delighted Sam Allardyce is back in the game at Blackburn Rovers.

"Sam came here and had a five-year plan," said Nolan, who accepts his name will probably crop up amid the speculation over Allardyce's targets. "At one of the first meetings we had, he said he wanted to be in Europe in five years and he did it. Gary (Megson) is quite similar and has a plan for the next five or six years.

"We're trying to build a new era after the one Sam built. But I'm delighted to see such a great figure back in the game - I just can't believe he went to Rovers!"
