Bolton skipper Davies frustrated with latest suspension

Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies admits he may have to adjust his game to avoid more suspensions.

Despite coming close a couple of times for an England call, Davies has now abandoned any hope of pulling on an England shirt. After serving a suspension already this season following five bookings in his first six games, he is more concerned about staying out of trouble.

"I am always due to get a suspension given the way I play but this year it has come earlier than I would have liked," he said.

"I have to be a little bit careful now.

"If I get to 10 I will miss a couple of games so I have to quieten down.

"But a lot of them are for clumsy tackles, so maybe I am getting a bit too old."
