Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies is convinced he's been targeted by opposition managers.
The Wanderers hitman is the 'dirtiest' Prem player with 38 fouls in 12 games this term - one more than West Ham's Carlton Cole. Davies was also the most fouled player in the top flight last season but believes a lot of the free-kicks awarded against him are unwarranted.
Davies, 32, said: "Certain teams or managers will just say 'go down' if I'm anywhere near, try and get you booked. I think it goes on quite a lot.
"Recently there's been a few games where it's obvious to me that people have been told to go over the top and make a meal of any sort of contact with me.
"They do that to try and get me out of the game. I don't mind it, I just get on with it."
