Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies has accepted his demotion.
The veteran forward, whose only cap came against Montenegro in October last year, was dropped for the defeat at Arsenal last month.
The likes of David Ngog and Tuncay arrived at the Reebok in the summer, meaning Davies, 34, is no longer an automatic starter.
He was given the man of the match award at the end of Sunday's 5-1 hammering by Chelsea but the announcement was jeered by sections of the home crowd.
Davies said: "I don't think my form has been great and I rightly found myself out of the side. Perhaps I lacked a little bit of confidence in myself."
