Bolton Wanderers signing Darren Pratley admits he rejected Arsenal as a junior.
Pratley played for the Gunners until he was 15 before making the switch to Fulham.
"At the time people like David Bentley, Steve Sidwell and Rohan Ricketts were a couple of years older and they didn't seem to be getting a chance at Arsenal," he told the Bolton News.
"We got offered YTS forms but at the time I was in the England Under-15s side and Fulham approached me with a professional contract.
"I felt I'd have more chance of breaking into their first team.
"It was a big decision but that's the age when you make them. You go out and get jobs, things like that.
"I don't regret it because maybe I wouldn't be where I am today if I had stayed."
