Stuart Holden is closing in on a Bolton Wanderers first team return following a long-term absence with a knee injury.
The USA international got through a full 90 minutes in last night's reserve team win over Arsenal and now could be in the Premier League squad to take on Norwich City at the Reebok Stadium.
Reserves coach John Henry said it was great to have Holden back and indicated he could soon be back in Owen Coyle's plans.
"Obviously Stuart has come through 90 minutes which is extremely satisfying and more good news for the gaffer," he told the club's official website.
