Bolton are close to securing the services of Real Madrid youngster Marcos Alonso Mendoza.

The Trotters are poised to make a £2.5million bid for the 19-year old wing-back who has spent most of his time with Madrid's B team after almost a decade with the club's youth academy.

Reports suggest that Portuguese club Benfica are also interested but Bolton currently lead the way to grab his signature during the summer.
