Bolton's Muamba 'speaking and moving' says close friend

Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba has spoken and moved today according to close friend Curtis Codrington.

The 23-year old is in a stable but critical condition at the London Chest Hospital after collapsing on the pitch in Saturday's FA Cup clash with Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

This afternoon, Muamba's friend Codrington posted on Twitter that the Trotters ace was recovering well.

"Fabrice is speaking and moving," said Codrington. "He has spoken minimal words in French and English."

In addition to Codrington's news, Muamba's partner, Shauna, who has a son with the Congo-born former England U21 international has thanked everybody for their support and well wishes.

"All your prayers are working people thank u so so much. Every prayer makes him stronger. To God be the glory," she Tweeted.
