Bolton's Coyle still pleased despite loss

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle was remaining in a good mood even though his side went down to Chelsea 1-0 on Wednesday.

The Trotters have exceeded all expectations this term, climbing to sixth place on the table, and Coyle was delighted his side were able to finish the year in a very strong position.

"If somebody had said we'd be coming to Chelsea in the last game of the year with a chance to leapfrog them, at that point they'd have probably taken me away in a straightjacket," Coyle said.

Bolton will try to return to winning ways when they meet the out-of-form Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
