Bolton Wanderers remain keen on Real Madrid fullback Marcos Alonso.
The Bolton News says Wanderers manager Owen Coyle still hopes to land Alonso.
The 19-year-old left-back has turned down the Portuguese giants and would prefer a move to the Premier League instead.
Bolton have made an offer for Alonso but the two clubs are apart in their valuation of the £3million-rated defender, who was a regular for Castilla, Real's second team, last season.
Coyle is still confident of signing the youngster but it won't be in time for Monday when the club depart for their pre-season trip to America.
