Bolton rebuffed in move for Palace boss Freedman

Crystal Palace have refused permission for Championship rivals Bolton Wanderers to speak to their manager Dougie Freedman.

Crystal Palace have refused permission for Championship rivals Bolton Wanderers to speak to their manager Dougie Freedman.

Bolton have been without a boss since Owen Coyle was sacked earlier this month.

Palace confirmed they had received a request from Bolton to speak to Freedman over their managerial vacancy.

But a club statement said: "Permission has not been granted for Dougie to speak to Bolton."

Freedman became Palace boss in January 2011, replacing George Burley.
