Bolton players issued with special iPhones
Part of the pre-match build-up for Bolton Wanderers players this season is a heavy use of specially-issued iPods.
Trotters boss Gary Megson explained: “The players seem okay with it.
“They are quite au fait with technology here because it was something that was happening anyway. We have just adapted it and taken it forward a few steps.
“I have brought in the idea this year as a continuation of what we already do, which is a DVD of the opposition on a Thursday — strengths, weaknesses, strategy for the weekend, a look at set pieces for and against and what is expected of them.
“We thought that a different way of doing it would be to get these iPods and have the lads in the IT department put in the information which can benefit them at the weekend.
“It has gone well so far but football will always come down to one thing and one thing only — the quality of the team you have got.”
