Bolton players don't blame Lee - Nolan

Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Nolan insists none of the players blame former manager Sammy Lee for their current problems.

After defeat at Arsenal on Saturday, Nolan said: "Of course we take full responsibility. It's not about anybody else.

"We go out onto the pitch and if we don't perform then it's the gaffer who gets the sack - the chairman can't sack 22 players and replace them in four days like you can with a new manager.

"Now it's about us now getting together, sticking together and having the guts to do it.

"I think we have that and if you speak to any of our players then they all believe we will get out of it."

Nolan, 25, added: "As I've said before, this is my club and there's nothing worse than being in the bottom three.

"I brought this club into the Premier League, I've been there through the good times and the bad, but if we can't turn it around then it would be atrocious and not even worth thinking about.

"The fans need to stay behind us, we will stick together and as a whole we have to make sure we get ourselves out of this."
