Bolton Wanderers have opened new contract talks with Matt Taylor.

The Bolton Evening News says Gary Megson wants to tie the 27-year-old wide man to the Reebok with an extended deal that, according to reports, would see him become one of the highest-paid players at the club.

The Whites boss - who completed the signing of Paul Robinson on a season-long loan from West Brom yesterday - has also made efforts to secure Gary Cahill's future with a similar offer.
