Bolton, Newcastle chasing Standard Liege defender Mangala

Standard Liege whizkid Eliaquim Mangala is wanted by Bolton Wanderers and Newcastle United.

The Mirror says the France Under-21 defender has been a summer target for Arsenal, Tottenham, French champions Lille, big-spending Paris St.Germain, and Italians Juventus and Udinese.

But now Newcastle boss Pardew and Bolton chief Coyle are planning bids for Mangala – along with other fresh suitors ­Valencia, Benfica and Porto.

Mangala, 20, has been likened to Spurs former Arsenal and ­Chelsea centre-back ­William Gallas, and says he wants to quit Belgium and make a move to ­either the Premier League or La Liga.
