Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson is chasing Rangers skipper Barry Ferguson.

The News of the World says Megson sent chief scout Colin Harvey to check on Ferguson in Rangers' clash with Dundee United yesterday.

The Trotters hope the Scotland and Gers skipper, 30, can be bought for a cut-price £2million as Rangers look to ease their wage bill.
