Bolton move for Newcastle striker Ranger as Elmander replacement

Bolton Wanderers are set to sign Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger.

The Daily Star says Millwall would love to take the Londoner back to the capital but can't afford the £1m fee.

That leaves Bolton in the driving seat, although Leicester are also keeping a close eye on the situation.

Reebok boss Owen Coyle is on the lookout for fresh attacking talent after Johan Elmander's departure to Galatasaray and could be willing to gamble on Ranger's raw talent.
