Bolton Wanderers midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker feels victory over Wigan Athletic was a great psychological boost.
Reo-Coker was glad to cast off the stigma of being bottom of the league, but warned that the high standard of defending seen against Wigan will have to be maintained if the club are to keep climbing the table.
"The league position didn't truly reflect where we as players and management felt we should be," he told the Bolton News. "But that's football. You don't always get what you deserve.
"We have conceded very poor goals individually and collectively as a team and that's why we have been punished. Yes, we've had a run in with the top teams and been punished for the ones we have made."
