Bolton loanee Miyaichi learning from Arsenal greats Henry and van Persie

Ryo Miyaichi has revealed he has learnt plenty from Arsenal strikers Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie.

The 19-year old Japanese winger marked his first start for loan club Bolton by scoring the opener in Saturday's 2-0 FA Cup fifth round win over Millwall and he was quick to thank Henry, who has returned to New York Red Bulls, and Gunners captain van Persie for their help in his development.

"I like the attacking style which penetrates [from the] left flank to get into the box, like Henry, " said Miyaichi.

"When I was at Arsenal, I saw many times Henry score the same way during training. [Robin] Van Persie also did it, from the right flank.

"They showed a very good example for me. That's why I could score like that.

"The ball came to me at the perfect time, I had space in front of me and my first touch let me move inside."
