Bolton Wanderers legend Gudni Bergsson has been the victim of a stabbing.

The Daily Express reports Bergsson is recovering from minor injuries after he was stabbed twice in the leg in his native Iceland.

Bergsson had gone to the rescue of a colleague in the attorney's office where he works.
