Bolton Wanderers boss Sammy Lee is launching a shock bid for Rangers winger Thomas Buffel.
Lee is willing to pay £1 million for the Belgium international.
Rangers chief Walter Smith will cash in on Buffel but Lee is seeking fitness assurances after the knee problem which ended his season early.
