Bolton fullback Ricketts admits changing role under Coyle

Bolton Wanderers fullback Sam Ricketts admits he's had to adjust his game under new manager Owen Coyle.

Ricketts was signed by Gary Megson in the summer from Hull City.

He said: “Gary Megson always asked me to push on as much as I could, possibly more than I ever had before. It was good for me, but you have to remember that first thing’s first, you have to defend. If you can get forward, great, but you can’t allow the opposition to exploit the space you leave.”
