The father of Juan Manuel Iturbe admits he's struggling with life at Porto.

It emerged this week that Porto have granted Bolton Wanderers first option on Iturbe at the end of the season after they failed to agree on a loan deal last week.

"We chose Porto because, traditionally, they're a club that is so good young talent," said Juan Snr. "But the opposite has been our experience.

"He's had no opportunities to play and with each passing day my son becomes a little more sad."
